The metropolis is the largest complex and valuable devise built by men. Since Monterrey was founded in 1596, 400 years ago, it has been subject to constant process of transformation. It is located 534 meters over sea level. Its region is adjacent to south with the Sierra Madre Oriental, to the north Pesqyeria river, to the east with the boundaries of Juarez municipality and to the west with Mirras Hill. Indescribable monuments of nature, its mountains are huge guards that protect this great city, and combine it with the majestic collar of its mountain range, which represents its most valuable natural heritage.
