The loveliest maiden in all Jalisco has lived peacefully on a prairie ever since 21 years after the demise of the Great Tenochtitlan. Guadalajara, or "The river running between the rocks," seems nothing less than a vision encompassing the best in art, tradition, and progress. The so-called Western Pearl is also a harmonious blend of Gothic, Baroque, Moorish and Neoclassical buildings, and a rose-covered garden beckoning from the horizon. Only she could inspire such nationality famous traditions as Tequila, The mariachi, Charreadas, or Rodeos, cock fights, and the Tapatio Jarabe.
